Worldpay From FIS’s eComm Engineering branch specialises in delivering online payment services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level.

Operating within a collaborative SAFe environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.

WPAP (Worldpay Alternative Payments) is an integrated Payments, Accounting & Clearing platform, offering Customers and Shoppers access to international banks and payment services within a single virtual treasury.

Working across Cloud based platforms this growing team works closely to strive to deliver quality solutions in a timely manner.

What you will be doing

As part of an Agile team, you will be contributing to the team’s delivery by producing high quality code that follows sound engineering principles of software craftmanship and reviewing code produced by peers. You will also be helping more junior members of team and contributing to departmental activities that improve and innovate our ways of workings and the technologies we use.

  • Produce well structured, maintainable, reliable and fit for purpose code at an accepted level of quality with the corresponding unit test coverage

  • Assist other developers, quality assurance engineers and technical support teams as required

  • Produce system requirements and estimates from business requirements

  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements and enhancements to working practices

  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and a sense of responsibility for the wider implications of software engineering

  • Demonstrate a flexible approach necessary for the role as business requirements and their relative priorities are subject to review and change

What you bring:

  • Proven experience and/or a genuine passion for software development.

  • Degree level education (in related subject of computing, math, science) or equivalent.

  • Knowledge/practical application of agile methodologies

  • Track record in delivering work to schedule and to specification

  • Experience of Software development in C#, Cloud technologies and cloud tooling

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience of working in a Cloud Development environment, including teams operating a “BRO” model

  • Knowledge of web application security

  • Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes and OpenShift.

  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development

  • Knowledge of T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server
