Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Senior in Owings Mills, MD to develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identify technical specifications through product management and client representatives. Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to software. Train and communicate with clients on systems application. Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and new products used in local, networked or internet-related computer programs. Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. Complete documentation for installation and maintenance. Train and communicate with internal client training teams. Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal audiences. 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience : analyzing, designing, and developing web applications and interfaces in an Agile environment, including user stories, features, and acceptance criteria; developing code in compliance with the ADA (American Disabilities Act) according to the WCAG standards; using source control management platforms including GitHub and Gitlab (repository management services) to track and manage source code changes; building user interfaces leveraging RESTful Services and secure services including Oauth2; using packaging tools including Node Package Manager (NPM), Webpack, and NVM to download packages and versions from global registries; performing deployment of code to multiple environments, including Dev and Stage; utilizing Terraform scripts to create AWS (Amazon Web Services) ECS (Elastic Container Service) Docker cluster and services; utilizing RALLY agile tracking; troubleshooting and debugging software, including analysis and summary of development and system issues. Telecommuting and/or working from home is permissible pursuant to company policies. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in the above listed skills and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
